Chapter One.

The voice you keep hiding is the one the world needs.

Every quiet person carries a warrior in their shadow. I help you find the words to let yours step into the light — as a writer, as a leader, as yourself.

The Shadow Warrior

On Karen's book covers, an ordinary woman casts the shadow of a warrior.

That shadow is you. The strength is already there — in the story you're afraid to tell, the truth you soften, the voice you talk yourself out of using. My work is helping you stop hiding it and start living it out loud. I work with a few writers at a time so I can bring everything to each one — no templates, no shortcuts, just the real work.

"She is a powerful mirror, reflecting back what she sees and telling it like it is."

What Clients Say

Voices that found their way home

“Bottom line, I trust her with my words!”

I have dreamed of writing a novel for over 30 years. For most of those years I was convinced that I was not a fiction writer. The accolades for my non-fiction story-telling style actually solidified the story I was telling myself about fiction not being my jam.

A conversation with Karen got me curious enough to try it again. She believed enough in me for the both of us and got me to play with the idea. Several months later, I am excited about the novel that I am writing and have even told people that I'm working on it. Karen supported me in finding the courage to try and has offered the much needed continued support to keep going.

Karen is a careful, critical reader, a fount of knowledge, and a gentle questioner. She doesn't "fix" the writer because she doesn't believe she is broken. She is a powerful mirror, reflecting back what she sees and telling it like it is.
